Mulgrave Basketball Child Safe Commitment
Mulgrave Basketball is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children involved in our programs. We strive to provide a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where every child can participate in basketball with confidence and enjoyment.
We recognise our responsibility to ensure that all players, coaches, volunteers, officials, and members understand their role in protecting and supporting children. Through education, awareness, and clear expectations, we aim to foster a culture where child safety is a shared priority across our organisation.
In line with best practice, Mulgrave Basketball is committed to implementing the Ten National Principles for Child Safe Organisations, along with the Universal Principle, to strengthen our approach to child safety, inclusion, and accountability.
We believe that every child has the right to feel safe and be protected from abuse, harm, and neglect. We encourage all children to speak up and ensure they understand who they can approach if they feel unsafe or have concerns about their wellbeing.
Mulgrave Basketball is dedicated to creating and maintaining an environment that is child-safe, inclusive, and respectful—one that is clearly understood, actively supported, and consistently upheld by everyone involved in our club.
